PM Surya Ghar Scheme Crosses 7.7 Lakh Beneficiary Mark

The PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana has achieved a significant milestone by enabling more than 7.7 lakh households across India to receive zero electricity bills after installation of rooftop solar systems, the government informed Parliament on Tuesday.   Union Minister of State for New and Renewable Energy, Shripad Yesso Naik, stated in a Rajya Sabha reply that as of 9 December 2025, a total of 19,45,758 rooftop solar systems have been installed nationwide under the flagship scheme.
