The Directorate General of Training (DGT), under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, has partnered with Shell India to launch a Green Skills-focused Electric Vehicle (EV) training programme aimed at equipping Indian youth with future-ready skills. The initiative, part of the Skills4Future programme, will be rolled out across five states—Delhi-NCR, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka. It features a 240-hour advanced EV technician course at National Skill Training Institutes (NSTIs), a 90-hour job-oriented EV course at select Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs), and a 50-hour green skills module for others. …
