Amrita Hospital, Faridabad, Launches Liver Health Awareness Drive on World Liver Day

In response to the growing public health crisis surrounding liver diseases in India, Amrita Hospital, Faridabad, is launching a high-impact awareness and screening campaign to mark World Liver Day on 19th April. Under this year’s global theme “Food is Medicine,” the initiative aims to alert citizens to the silent yet dangerous rise of liver disorders and provide timely, affordable access to expert consultation and diagnostics.

India is witnessing a worrying surge in fatty liver disease, hepatitis, and alcohol-related liver conditions—many of which go undetected until they reach critical stages. Through this Liver Day campaign, Amrita Hospital is urging the public to take early action and not ignore the signs.

The initiative is being led by a multidisciplinary team of experts from the Departments of Hepatology, Gastroenterology, Hepatobiliary Surgery, and Gastrointestinal Surgery.
