Paradip Port has been able to increase its berth productivity to 33014 MT from 31050 MT in the last financial year, thus registering a growth of 6.33%. The berth productivity achieved by Paradip Port is the highest among all ports in the country. During the financial year, the port handled 21,665 rakes and 2710 vessels registering a growth of 7.65% over the previous financial year, an increase of 13.82% over the previous financial year. India’s Coal sector records highest growth among eight key industries during February 2024

According to the Index of Eight Core Industries (ICI) (base year 2011-12) released by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the coal sector recorded the highest growth of 11.6 percent (provisional) among the eight core industries during February 2024.
