Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya on Monday launched the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi-SBI Smart Payment Card, which aims to provide hassle-free payment for treatment. “AIIMS Smart Payment Card will solve the long pending problem of patients from remote areas carrying cash to the hospital. Patients or their caregivers can easily collect the card from the convenience centers of AIIMS, New Delhi and then use it for payment at various counters.
Hailing the launch as a major step forward in patient care services and Digital India initiative, he said that under the scheme, now in case of any urgent payment related requirement any person from across the country can easily and quickly Money can be transferred from. The patient is being treated at AIIMS, New Delhi. He said that soon the services of these cards will be extended to all AIIMS of the country.
