Coal Ministry achieved huge increase in total coal production during December 2023. The production has reached 92.87 million tonnes (MT), surpassing last year's figure of 83.86 million tonnes and showing a growth of 10.75 per cent. Coal India Limited (CIL) production has increased by 8.27 percent to 71.86 million tonnes in December 2023, compared to 66.37 million tonnes in December 2022.
