SEEDS restores the lake in Gurugram through nature-based solutions

To combat the effects of climate change and improve water security, SEEDS has been working to restore 18 acres of a lake in Wazirabad, Gurugram Climate change impacts are now visible in cities due to increased instances of flooding. Increasing intensity of rainfall, coupled with rapid building activity has increased amount of hard surfaces, lead to flooding events.   Overburdened drainage, rapid and unregulated construction without considering the natural landscape and hydro-geomorphology have exacerbated the problem. MoD signs Rs 667 crore contract for six Dornier-228 aircraft from HAL to further bolster operational capability of Indian Air Force

Ministry of Defence, on March 10, 2023, signed a contract for procurement of six Dornier-228 aircraft for the Indian Air Force (IAF) from Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) at a cost of Rs 667 crore. The aircraft was used by IAF for Route Transport Role and communication duties. Subsequently, it has also been used for training of transport pilots of the IAF. RINL imparts skill development training for 540 persons belonging in tribal areas

With a view to enabling economically weaker people of tribal areas to generate revenue on their own, RINL, the corporate entity of the Visakhapatnam steel plant, provided skill development training to 540 persons belonging to the tribal areas of Alluri Sitaramaraju District.
