MoD Signs ₹2,095 Crore Contract with BDL for INVAR Anti-Tank Missiles

In a significant push toward defence indigenisation under the Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) on Thursday signed a major contract worth ₹2,095.70 crore with Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) for the procurement of INVAR Anti-Tank Guided Missiles (ATGMs).  The missiles, designed to be fired from the T-90 main battle tanks, will substantially enhance the Indian Army’s operational capability by improving precision strike abilities against armored targets.
